The museum of big questions. From communicating plants to a competition with a chimpanzee, or a smell tunnel where recognition and emotion alternate. Expect a personal expedition as you criss-cross through the museum.
Built between 1850 and 1855 for the members of the Society Natura Artis Magistra, it stands on the oldest grounds of ARTIS and at the time was one of the most modern buildings in Amsterdam. The museum, which closed in 1947, has since been completely renovated and restored.
