This grand building, designed by Francis Johnston in 1814, is easy to reach by Dublin Bus, as well as via Bus Éireann and other national bus companies. It's also a three-minute walk from the Abbey Street stop on the Luas Red Line.

The GPO museum is excellent and well worth a visit but the Tiqets website lead us to believe we were booking a 45 minute guided tour. What we got was a self guided audio tour. Very interesting though we had expected more exhibits and a larger area. Better value by buying ticket from Tiqets ( €2 less than buying there). Would advise using the audio guide (free with phone but €2 Euros using their device). Without the audio guide we would have thought the price unreason...
