About This Attraction
Pompeii was lost to us for many centuries until it was rediscovered again, initially in 1599, and properly in the 1700s. It is one of the world's greatest archaeological sites. The volcanic eruption wiped out the population of Pompeii, but the town they lived in was remarkably well-preserved because of the combination of ash and lack of moisture that sealed the town, and essentially turned it into a time capsule.

Our guide Lilian surpassed our expectation. Being a historian, she was able to give us such details and and speak in such an interesting way that even I (for whom History was just an obligatory subject at school) got intrigued what she would say next.
Dreadful experience would have been quicker to join a queue and pay on the day. We were passed onto 3 different queues by 3 staff members! Picture on app didn't resemble where we needed to be, missed our tour so very dissapointed.

Great tour, absolutely recommend doing a guided tour of Pompei, it's huge. Everyone at the office was very friendly and helpful, and the guide himself was excellent. I could easily have done 4 hrs instead of 2; the time flew past!
We had a fantastic guide who took us to some of the spots hidden from the crowds, to give us a more personal experience. There were only 4 of us on the English speaking tour so we had the opportunity to ask lots of questions.

Such a good tour! Our guide was very funny and really bought the history to life and answered any of our questions with detail and interest. Would highly recommend. The glasses were really fun and helped embed the knowledge and help you visualise better. Very good!

I could not use the Tiqet voucher to enter the site. I had to go into the “regular” BUY TICKET line to change my Tiqet voucher into a regular admission ticket. Buying the Tiqet voucher had no value added since I had to wait exacty the same (long) time to enter the site. Going there with 20 eur...

Well buying the tickets online was very easy so I have given it four stars as the website did what it said it would do. The problem was that once on site, you needed to wait in line to “exchange” your online reservation for a ticket! So be prepared that you still need to queue in line to enter. ...
Waste of money, you don’t skip the lines. On the contrary, you have to exchange your Tiqets ‘tickets’ for real tickets so a complete waste. In addition, you pay extra for the Tiqets voucher. Instead go to the official Pompei website and buy your tickets there

The use of the Audio was a waste of money. It was a Samsung phone that did not come with earbuds. I would have been better off with a map.

Went to one entrance, stood in line for 45 mins, told to go to another entrance, stood in line for an hour then told to go to another entrance, stood in line for 30 mins and finally got in!
The audio handset was broken and the hole day was a waist! Crap 🤬🤷♂️
Very hard in advance to find location for presenting vouchers. Many queues and no help to know which. Shambles of organisation. Once audio guide very good.
